Requirements Breakdown

  • GPA Standards: You must enter with and maintain a minimum 3.0 Accounting GPA and a 3.0 Overall GPA.
  • Dues: Total of $235 for the Fall 2025 semester (includes national registration, local dues, chapter t-shirt, professional name tag, and a professional headshot).
  • Transcripts: Submit official or unofficial transcripts to transcripts@usfbap.org by 09/03/2025.

Academic & Financial Eligibilty

  • Community Service: 12 total hours required (8 must be BAP-sponsored activities).
  • Tutoring: Hold one tutoring hour per week at the School of Accountancy tables (starting 09/08/2025).
  • Committee Work: Serve on two (2) committees as assigned by the Vice President to help run chapter operations.

Service & Engagement

  • Attendance: Attend 75% of all regular meetings and socials.
  • Mandatory Events: Attendance is required at all flagship events, including:
    • Leadership Conference & Career Fair Bootcamp
    • Meet the Firms & Accounting Career Fair
    • Mock Interviews
    • Grant Thornton Speech Competition
    • Scholarship Banquet

Professional Development

The Three-Stage Journey

The Professional Sprint: Your journey begins with a single semester of candidacy. This is a high-intensity "trial" period where you prove your dedication through service, tutoring, and professional development. Completion of these requirements is your ticket to international membership.

Stage 1: Candidate

The Transition Phase: After a successful candidate semester, you will be formally initiated. You enter a "probationary" period where a final GPA check is conducted at the start of the following semester. This ensures the 3.0 standard remains the benchmark for our chapter's elite reputation.

Stage 2: Newly Initiated Member

The Elite Tier: This is the final professional status maintained until graduation. As an "Active Member," you gain full access to our leadership pipeline and alumni network, continuing the legacy of excellence while mentoring the next generation of candidates.

Step 2: Submit Your Documentation

Submit your Fall 2025 dues ($235) to the Chapter Treasurer, Daniel Skinner, by September 6th.
