Why remain an Active Member?

Founded in 1972, the Delta Gamma Chapter at the University of South Florida is more than an honors organization—it is a global leader in professional development. As a part of the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy, our legacy is built on a foundation of dedication, leadership, and academic rigor.

The Delta Gamma Legacy

Active membership is a continuous investment in your professional brand. While candidacy bridged the gap to the boardroom, your time as a member is designed to solidify your place within it. By maintaining your status, you secure your lifelong network of high-achieving peers, exclusive leadership opportunities, and a direct pipeline to the "Big 4" and mid-tier firms that look to the Delta Gamma chapter for their future leaders.

The Member Standard

Professional Development

The Three-Stage Journey

The Professional Sprint: Your journey begins with a single semester of candidacy. This is a high-intensity "trial" period where you prove your dedication through service, tutoring, and professional development. Completion of these requirements is your ticket to international membership.

Stage 1: Candidate

The Transition Phase: After a successful candidate semester, you will be formally initiated. You enter a "probationary" period where a final GPA check is conducted at the start of the following semester. This ensures the 3.0 standard remains the benchmark for our chapter's elite reputation.

Stage 2: Newly Initiated Member

The Elite Tier: This is the final professional status maintained until graduation. As an "Active Member," you gain full access to our leadership pipeline and alumni network, continuing the legacy of excellence while mentoring the next generation of candidates.

Stage 3: Member in Good Standing

Ready to maintain the Delta Gamma Legacy?

  1. Verify Eligibility: Confirm you have maintained the 3.0 Accounting and Overall GPA minimums.

  2. Submit Documentation: Email transcripts to transcripts@usfbap.org by January 21st.

  3. Finalize Registration: Submit your Spring 2026 dues to our Chapter Treasurer, Aryana, by the January 21st deadline.

The summary above covers your core requirements for maintaining your status as a Member in Good Standing.
