Betsy Wilson from the FICPA has reached out with the following opportunity:

The James Wilcox Endowment (Wilcox) established through the FICPA Scholarship Foundation (SF) is offering African-American 4th year accounting students who are FICPA members the opportunity to pursue their postgraduate accounting education. The Endowment has allocated six (6) $5,000 scholarships for three (3) male and three (3) female accounting students from accredited Florida colleges and universities that have 5th Year or Master’s Programs. HOW TO APPLY
Students can apply online and upload their official transcripts and other requested documents at scholarships.ficpa.org/. This year, applicants are required to arrange for at least one faculty member to submit a letter of recommendation. A sample recommendation form is enclosed. It is the student’s responsibility to download the form while completing the online application and arrange for a faculty member to send us their completed recommendation (any accounting faculty member). Note: This faculty recommendation is in addition to overall scholarship recommendations by your school’s scholarship advisory committee The deadline for students to submit online applications is March 15th. If this deadline does not work with your academic calendar, contact us immediately.
