Professor Cainas originally grew up in a small town outside of Ithaca, New York. After attending a small university in Pennsylvania for one year, she decided to pack all of her belongings into her car and move to Tampa in 1988. She attended the University of South Florida from 1991-1996, was a member of Beta Alpha Psi Delta Gamma Chapter, earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master’s Degree in Accounting, and is a licensed C.P.A. in the State of Florida. During her professional career, she worked in the financial services and insurance industries, and most recently was a controller for a Fortune 500 company prior to returning to USF full time as a faculty member.

Aysel has previously served in several officer roles such as Vice President of BAP and President of Accounting Society. She was also the Fall 2017 President of BAP and decided to return for a second term to continue giving back to this wonderful organization, making this her 6th officer position since she began USF. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in fall of 2016 and completed an audit internship with KPMG prior to returning to USF to begin the MAcc program. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, hanging out with friends, and eating her favorite food, buffalo shrimp.

David Corby is a current MAcc student at USF. Over the summer of 2017, he passed all four sections of the CPA. He completed an audit internship with Grant Thornton and looks forward to starting full-time in the fall of 2018. Corby has held many committee chair positions in Beta and has also been a prior officer (Treasurer). Outside of Beta, he works as an accounting tutor. In his free time, Corby goes to Kaleisia with Aysel Guveloglu.

Having previously served as the President, Vice President, and Golf Tournament Chair of the Delta Gamma chapter, Brooks is passionate about continuing to give back to Beta Alpha Psi and the community. He is enrolled in his final semester of the MAcc program, is currently sitting for the CPA exam, and serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Principles of Managerial Accounting. Brooks completed an Assurance internship with Ernst & Young in spring 2017 and will begin with the firm full-time starting this fall. When Brooks isn’t busy with his school- or BAP-related duties, he enjoys watching baseball and drinking copious amounts of coffee.

Jennifer received her Bachelor’s degree from USF in spring of 2017 and is currently in the MAcc program. She previously served as Treasurer and had held a committee chair position. This summer, she will be interning with EY in the Media & Entertainment practice. Outside of school, she likes to hang out with friends and attend concerts.

Originally from Scranton, PA (yes, where “The Office” is set), Jordan moved to Tampa in 1999. She is pursuing a degree in accounting and will graduate in summer 2018. After graduating in August, Jordan plans to continue her education at USF in the school’s MAcc program, as well as begin her CPA exam. Outside of school, she enjoys long distance running, Marvel Comics, and spending time with her dog Chance.

Yoni is a passionate transfer student looking towards his Master’s and CPA. During the Fall 2016 semester, Yoni interned with EY’s Media & Entertainment division. Yoni is returning as a Beta Officer from the past two semesters. Yoni is definitely a nerd; he enjoys building computers and eating sushi!
