30+ hours/week  Accounting Student Position available at TECO Energy

The TECO Energy Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students the opportunity for professional growth while meeting the business needs of the company. The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study.

This position is in our TECO Plaza professional offices in downtown Tampa  and will be working the following Departments:

  • Regulatory Accounting & Regulatory Plant Accounting
  • Energy Delivery Plant Accounting

Requirements for this position:

  • Enrolled in an accredited university or college and enrolled in the Accounting program.
  • If participating as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program is a must.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Classification: Junior year (with completed accounting courses) or higher, including 5th year accounting students and Masters level students
  • Satisfactory progress in school and on the job
  • 30+ Hours/week will be within a Monday – Friday schedule and typically within normal business hours 8:00AM – 6:00PM schedule.
