March 4 — Horns Up for Hope (Hope Children's Home)

Volunteers will participate in a hands-on service experience focused on supporting the campus and the children who live there.

Service activities may include:

  • Campus beautification projects (landscaping and light maintenance)
  • Organizing storage areas
  • Assisting with special projects inside residential cottages

Some work may take place outdoors, so please bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a water bottle.

March 29 — Climate Teach-In 5K Run

A sustainability-focused 5K hosted by the Running Club and Sustainabulls. You can run, jog, or walk — a flexible way to earn service hours while supporting an environmental initiative on campus.

  • Date: Sunday, March 29
  • Location: NES Field (12105 USF Sweetgum Lane)
  • Check-in: 7:30 AM
  • Eligibility: Out-of-BAP service hours

April 8 — USF Pulls (Invasive Plant Removal)

This hands-on event supports an environmental restoration project in partnership with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful.

Volunteers will:

  • Remove invasive plant species
  • Help restore the natural area along the Hillsborough River

All work is outdoors — bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a water bottle.

February 28 — Running for the Kids 5K

BAP will be volunteering at the Running for the Kids 5K, hosted by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at USF.

A great chance to support the community and earn In-BAP hours.

  • Date: Saturday, February 28, 2026
  • Time: 9:00–11:00 a.m.
  • Start Location: USF Chemistry Building (CHE)*
  • Dress Code: Active/casual wear

March 9 — Accounting Circle Chick-fil-A Tabling

A collaboration with the Accounting Circle to support students in Principles of Accounting after their second exam.

Volunteers will distribute Chick-fil-A, help set up tables, and connect with students while accounting professionals share career insights.

To remain in good standing, please complete the hours designated for your status by the end of the semester:

*** Note: Donating blood counts as an Independent Activity and fulfills 2 hours of service.

You can earn In-BAP hours by volunteering with any of the following organizations. A spreadsheet with direct sign-up links will be provided via email shortly.

How to Report Your Hours

To ensure your hours are recorded accurately, email Makinley Mandigo at cschair@usfbap.org after every event with the following information:

  1. Photos: A "Before" and "After" photo of your session.

  2. Duration: The total time spent volunteering.

  3. Transit: Your round-trip transportation time (to and from the event).

Important for "Out-of-BAP" Service: If you volunteer with an organization not listed above, you must also attach a completed Independent Activity Form to your email.
