Candidate-Eligible Fall 2026 Committees
As a part of your journey toward membership, every candidate is required to serve on one (1) committee during their candidate semester. These roles provide hands-on experience in leadership, event planning, and professional outreach.Vice President Yarelis will assign candidates to their specific committees based on a preference survey distributed at the beginning of the semester. If you are unable to fulfill your specific committee requirements, you must contact the Executive committee to arrange a make-up opportunity, such as participating in an additional committee task.-
Coordinate a celebratory banquet that recognizes high-achieving students in ACG2021: Principles of Financial Accounting. Responsibilities include organizing event logistics to ensure students' accomplishments are honored professionally.

During Accounting Preview Day, high school students visit USF to hear from our student panel. After the session, committee members lead a campus tour highlighting key areas such as the bookstore, residence halls, and the Muma College of Business, while distributing program materials and giveaways.

The Chair will oversee mentor–mentee pairing for the INSPIRE Mentorship Program and coordinate a kickoff breakfast to introduce each pairing and support their first meeting. The committee will also maintain updated contact information for BAP alumni.

The LPSOA Faculty meets once each semester. The Faculty Breakfast serves as a token of appreciation for the Accounting faculty and should be treated with the utmost respect. This committee also prepares handwritten thank‑you cards for the faculty.

Supports the planning and execution of the annual Golf Tournament, which is the chapter's largest fundraising event. Members coordinate logistics with firms and participants to raise funds that support BAP activities.

This committee visits lower-level accounting classes, specifically Intermediate Accounting I, to recruit new members. Members share personal experiences and highlight the benefits of joining Beta Alpha Psi to encourage early involvement.

The chair will register BAP as an intramural team through the USF Rec Center for weekly play and coordinate member and candidate participation. Sports and team formats may vary each semester. Outside of Rec-sponsored activities, the committee may also organize casual sports events on campus or at Rowlett Park.

Members plan and organize "Meet the Firms," a speed-networking event designed to help students prepare for the career fair. The committee ensures students gain practice speaking with professionals while learning about career paths in accounting and finance.

Supports accounting professors by helping proctor exams. Members of this committee gain professional responsibility experience while building stronger relationships with faculty and serving as role models to peers.

Helps officers by carrying any necessary utensils/items for the weekly meeting. This committee also keeps track of candidate and member birthdays and celebrates them with a cupcake before the meeting.

Organizes the final event of the year, the Scholarship Banquet. The committee is responsible for celebrating the dedication, leadership, and academic success of members, candidates, and scholarship recipients.
