Junior Achievement is a national organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities, especially in the realm of financial literacy, to young children. The Day of Difference event allows for pairs of volunteers to present a JA classroom program to 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students at both Pizzo and USF/Patel. To qualify for this service opportunity, there is a MANDATORY training session that must be attended. The dates, time, and location are as follows: Thursday 10/13/16 from 6:30 – 8:30pm (Training 1) and on Wednesday 10/19/16 from 6:30 – 8:30pm (Training 2) in BSN 225. Please sign up for the separate event when registering for this service opportunity. Please also note that these training sessions will also count toward your community service hours! Meaning you could gain 6 hours of service through this opportunity.
