Role Description

This position will support the Finance function for the North American Business Unit at Cott Beverages. The role will involve various accounting & finance responsibilities such as the development of financial analysis and modeling, cross-functional finance support, data validation and analysis (e.g., review of costs within SAP), support of monthly close requirements (e.g., variance analysis, account reconciliations, SOX controls, reporting requirements, and analytics monitoring), as well as other ad hoc analysis to support the function. Applicants should have a general understanding of how systems/data operate, GAAP, and have the availability during normal working hours Monday through Friday for approximately 20-30 hours per week. This position has a standard term of six months following an initial probationary period.

 

Qualifications

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (include examples of complex functionality with which you are proficient), completion of Principles of Financial Accounting and Principles of Managerial Accounting with a grade of B or better in each (transcripts will be required prior to a formal job offer), and strong organizational/communication skills. Applicants should at a minimum should be a Junior, enrolled in the College of Business with an Accounting or Finance related major.

Work Schedule: 8:30am โ€“ 5:30pm (with flexibility based on school schedule, spread across no few than four days each week)

Hours per Week: 20-30

Start Date: 4/1/2016

End Date: 9/30/2016 (minimum 6 month term)
