22 Aug Posted by in Uncategorized | Comments

Registration is now open for the 2011 AICPA Accounting Competition* and the race to 1st place has begun. Students competing in this year’s competition will present their best ideas for a fraud and forensics themed case in 750 words or less. All team rosters and first round submissions must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. ET on September 30th, 2011

Teams are comprised of 4 undergraduate students. Two team members must be declared, accounting-related majors, one of which must serve as Team Captain. The two remaining members may come from any discipline. First round submissions will be evaluated to determine the ten semi-finalists who will compete for those three coveted finalist spots. The top three teams (and their Faculty Advisor) will receive a trip package to Washington, D.C. to present their case to an executive panel of judges, where they will compete to snag the top award of $10,000.
